Competency Enhancement and Education Strategies of Developing Countries in Coping with Climate Change

The purpose of the study is to develop the competency enhancement strategies of developing countries in coping with climate change. After analyzing the nature of global governance, it attempts to develop competency appropriate for job market change and to seek for effective education methods by looking into the effect of climate change on labor structure and pattern. The expansion of low carbon policy will drive the massive innovation of industrial structure and job structure. Green industry may provide developing countries with great opportunities to utilize simple labor because of its high labor intensiveness. Also, they need to take notice of the high possibility that most jobs will require the greening skill that converses separated skills. To improve those competencies, talented people need to take multidisciplinary and participatory education focusing on problem solutions.
